ChatGPT exploded onto the scene in 2023, raising everyone’s hopes and fears about a future dominated by Artificial Intelligence (AI).  In this presentation, we will explain how ChatGPT fits into the broader context of Generative AI and why we are having such a profound moment of change right now.  We’ll cover a brief introduction into how the technology works, delve into some of the important use cases, and discuss what it means for us in technology.  Finally, we’ll consider how things like Responsible AI and market trends may impact the future.

Meet our guest speaker, Matt Brahm!
Matt Brahm has been an employee since joining Miller Brewing in 2001, where he started as a consultant in 1997.  His roles in the company have all focused on data and analytics in one form or another. He started out doing support and development on a retail sales analysis tool and to this day still uses retail sales frequently in his work.  Significant past career milestones have been: the experience leading the data architecture team the first couple of years of the MillerCoors joint venture, and later, leading the Analytics team for BP&S to build the data analysis foundation for the US supply chain and finance.  Matt has found his home, however, in his current role as Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics, leading our data science and Anaplan teams.  This role allows him to follow his passion building solutions to complex business problems leveraging advanced tools and technologies and developing our internal talent as a mentor.  Prior to his career in IT, Matt was a college Mathematics professor.  He has a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin and also acquired an M.B.A. from U.W.M. along the way.  Matt has been married for almost 32 years, has two wonderful children and two grandchildren.  In his spare time, he and his wife are hiking portions of the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin and they enjoy traveling around the country and the world to visit friends and family.
